The Asus Vintage V3-P5945GC is a cheap Intel-based minitower barebone with a 775 socket. Intel GMA 945G graphics (VGA D-Sub). Intel HD Audio (1 x Headphone/Mic, 1 x Mic/Line-In/Line-Out/(Back)). 6 USB ports (2 x Front/4 x Back). Attansic (now Atheros) Ethernet.

Networking
The ethernet adapter needs the atl2 driver. The driver isn't in portage yet but an ebuild exists. I changed its version to 2.0.5 and it works fine.
Graphics
The on board card works as a framebuffer with uvesafb and Driver fbdev in xorg.conf (no dri). The page on Intel GMA has more infos as well as instructions for a non framebuffer setup. Right now I'm using Driver "intel" in xorg.conf.
Sound
Works with the ALSA-driver from portage using snd-hda-intel.
Problems
The following (probably solvable) problems exist:
- Grub splash doesn't work (screen stays blank).
- Early boot looks really bad (starting with initrd load) without vesa in the initrd, bootsplash doesn't work at all.
