Debian

Debian is a free operating system (OS) for your computer. Debian uses the Linux kernel, but most of the basic OS tools come from the GNU project; hence the name GNU/Linux. Debian does not use source based packaging but rather a slower binary based packaging system called apt making the system much slower than your source optimized Gentoo installation.
