Most FPS and other fullscreen games keep annoying the users with their non-ability to minimize the game, for example to send a icq message or something else. Therefore Nicklas Larsson wrote a nice program called "etswitch". It runs in the background and waits for a (configurable) Hotkey to be pressed, then it minimizes the game, and when you're done with writing your icq message you can press the hotkey again and you're sent back to the game instantly.
You can download the tar.gz or an ebuild from their homepage or enemy-territory.de.
