Indexes?

The Indexes are designed to help provide groups of articles that fit together, or in the case of the major indexes, we list articles that don't really belong in any particular group.

The other indexes are to allow for more atomic articles; so that information within the wiki is not repeated over and over again

Major Index Listing

Major indexes are those which are listed in the Categories box in the navigation

• HOWTO Index
  • Articles generally prefixed with HOWTO and containing {{HOWTO Index}}
• TIP Index
  • Articles generally prefixed with TIP and containing {{TIP Index}}
• MAN Index
  • Man pages listed on the wiki and are generally prefixed with MAN, containing {{MAN Index}} and using the <man> tags
• Hardware Index
  • Hardware Related Articles generally prefixed with HARDWARE and containing {{HARDWARE Index}}
• SECURITY Index
  • Articles generally prefixed with SECURITY and containing {{SECURITY Index}}
• FAQ Index
  • Articles generally prefixed with FAQ and containing {{FAQ Index}}
• Misc Index
  • Articles that don't really fit anywhere else; these come in many shapes and sizes and may contain {{Misc Index}}
