Kdesu

kdesu without root password

If you want kdesu to ask you your users password instead of that of root, simply create a file named kdesurc in the configuration path of KDE.

Code: Get configuration paths of KDE
kde-config --path config

For example to enable this only for your actual user:

Code: Edit kdesurc of current user
vi ~/.kde/share/config/kdesurc

What you need is only one simple section:

Code: Section to enable sudo as backend
[super-user-command]
super-user-command=sudo

Finally do not forget to configure sudo if you did not already. You should export the $KDEDIRS environment variable otherwise it will fail.
