Kdesu
kdesu without root password
If you want kdesu to ask you your users password instead of that of root, simply create a file named kdesurc in the configuration path of KDE.
| Code: Get configuration paths of KDE |
kde-config --path config |
For example to enable this only for your actual user:
| Code: Edit kdesurc of current user |
vi ~/.kde/share/config/kdesurc |
What you need is only one simple section:
| Code: Section to enable sudo as backend |
[super-user-command] super-user-command=sudo |
Finally do not forget to configure sudo if you did not already. You should export the $KDEDIRS environment variable otherwise it will fail.
