XMMS

emerge xmms xmms-cdread xmms-cdcover xmms-cdaudio

Open xmms, either through your os menu or by typing xmms in a terminal.

You will need to edit the preferences in AudioCD Reader and in CD Audio Player.

1. Right click the xmms window and select options -> preferences.
2. Then press click CD Audio Player (version) [libcdaudio.so]
3. Under the tab Device -> Drive 1 type in your information.

• • For me I typed in
    • Device: /dev/hdc
    • Directory: /mnt/dvd
    • Play Mode: Analog
    • Volume Control: No Mixer
  • If you have two drives, select "Add drive" and add the corresponding information.

1. Press O.K. and lets move on.
2. Now click on AudioCD Reader (version) [libcdread.so]
3. Click on the Options tab
4. Under Default CD Device: type

• • /dev/hdc
    • or whatever your /dev/(cdromdrive) might be

1. If you have a CD in the drive, click add CD to playlist and you'll now be playing music.
