RTL8180

Cards that used the Realtek RTL8180 use the rtl8180 driver, available in portage as rtl8180.
The following cards are known to use this chipset:
- Belkin, certain models
- D-Link, certain models
- DWL-510
- DWL-610
- Edimax EW-7106PC
- Linksys WPC11 Version 4
- NetGear MA521
- TopCom SkyR@cer pci 111
- TwinMOS B Series WLAN Card
- Zonet ZEW1000
- RTL 8185
For specific modules and revisions, please see the rtl8180 driver site linked above.
At this writing, rtl8180-0.24-r1 supports only 802.11b and WEP. It also supports monitor mode and thus kismet.
Does not work with WPA Supplicant, but as a updated version of rtl8180 made it into the kernel (>=2.6.25), wpa is supported.
The driver can set cards into master-mode (tested with MA521).
